Project Mumbai Provides Mental Health Services and Free Delivery to Vulnerable Populations

Mumbai, India | Asia and the Pacific

Project Mumbai is a volunteer project coordinated by Shishir Joshi. While the volunteer group convened prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, Project Mumbai continues to serve vulnerable populations across the city by providing food. They operate two mental health helplines with 50 trained counselors, and are now offering free delivery of groceries and medicine to senior citizens, persons with disabilities and those who are medically quarantined. They have provided free delivery services to 3,000 people.
