ASEZ Reduce Crime Together

A project by ASEZ

Unless safety of the people is guaranteed, no socioeconomic or welfare system would be useful. We focus on safety of citizens, the game changers for future.
Safe and just society is a prerequisite for human development to achieve the UN SDGs.
Violence and crime exist everywhere in different shapes. All of us are under the invisible threat.
We started Reduce Crime Together project as a groundwork for accomplishing the goals by changing the people, the key to solving all problems, the ones who will achieve the UN SDGs.
University students around the world are proceeding with this in 3 steps in each community: Education, Practice, and Partnership.
1. Education: POWER
ASEZ carries out education programs for the students in high schools and universities, while conducting awareness raising campaigns, forums, seminars for all citizens.
2. Practice: Things you can start to change the world are easy to do.
University students come together to clean up neighborhoods and communities to reduce visible signs of crime and emphasize the importance of obeying public order to maintain safe communities.
3. Partnership: If We Go Together, We Can Go Further
Current crimes have no limitations on borders, social stratum, regions, and places. Individuals, organizations, governments, and international organizations from all over the world must take interest and participate in the prevention of crime.
University students take the lead in educating their peers, professors, administrators and government officials of the impact of crime prevention movement for achieving the UN SDGs. Community leaders pledge to support ASEZ members in the fulfillment of their goals by signing memorandums of understanding and agreements.
This initiative has inspired the participation of more than 2,000 governments including Ministries of Law, Police Agencies, international organizations, universites, etc.
The results have been more engaged youth, cleaner and safer environments and a call to action to show that all people—regardless of age or status—can improve their community through small actions.
