“RHAPSODY (Raising Hope and Uplifting Youths on World AIDS)”

From this activity, we can share our innovations. the focus in RHAPSODY is not only responding to HIV issues in the key population but also to general public
Increasing knowledge and detecting public health status related to HIV / AIDS as evidenced by an increase in post test results by 80% and VCT final results of at least 30 people through open campaigns in the CGV area of Marvell City Mall Surabaya and free education and VCT to the community at Kedungdoro Health Center in 1 day.
Government and non-governmental organizations working in the same field of work: Can be helped in preventive efforts of people who have the potential to get HIV-AIDS with VCT education and examination activities conducted by SCORA CIMSA UNAIR. In addition, getting data in the form of HIV / AIDS infection rates are primarily valid
In celebrating World AIDS Day, SCORA CIMSA UNAIR organized RHAPSODY with the theme Raising Hope and Uplifting Youths on World AIDS Day. The series of activities consisted of various activities, ranging from water & ground campaign, counseling, and free VCT. December 1, 2018 we held an open campaign as well as educating the public in the CGV area of Marvell City Mall Surabaya, after which we gave a red ribbon and asked for impressions / messages / suggestions from the public regarding WAD celebrations through post-it media. screening of Bohemian Rhapsody films.
Followed by the main event on December 8, 2018, namely free VCT at one of the Puskesmas in Surabaya. In addition, there was counseling and group discussion (Focus Group Discussion) together with the community around the Kedungdoro Health Center and also CIMSA UNAIR members as facilitators on HIV / AIDS whose final results will be presented.

About the Organization /Team

CIMSA is a medical students organization in Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2001, CIMSA (Center for Indonesian Medical Students Activities) has gained recognition from the General Director of Higher Education from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2002. CIMSA is comprised of 8000+ members from 23 medical faculties in Indonesia. CIMSA also aims to improve the qualities of Indonesian medical students nationally and globally through our affiliation with International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA).
