As the great threat of Covid-19 became apparent to Adefare Tomisin, she was compelled to initiate a local campaign focused on two markets in Ibadan, Nigeria to raise awareness of the pandemic. Aware that many people at the market may be illerate or have no access to internet, Tomisin was compelled to share not only the dangers of the pandemic but also precautionary practices. She sensitized 300 market goers about proper hand washing technique and displayed a banner in the local language detailing precautionary measures. The markets received gloves, masks, and sanitziers were donated to the markets.
