GLOBAL – Climate inaction threatens future generations, but this crisis often fails to resonate with those who need to act. UNDP’s Weather Kids campaign, launched in March 2024, addresses this by having children take over weather reports in 87 countries, showing a grim forecast if climate action isn’t taken, but at the same time showing hope for the future.
Through a compelling presentation of scientific data, the campaign engaged a broad audience, making the climate emergency relatable and urgent. The impact was profound: 4 billion impressions, 800,000 views on the campaign’s landing page, and widespread media coverage across 400 broadcasters, highlighting the need for immediate global action to safeguard our planet’s future.
